This is a long shot, but do you know anybody who has the following surnames or is researching any of them- Knipe,Ritson or Peat? They need not be in the immediate Whitehaven area. I would appreciate any contacts- preferably not a phone number- that would be a bit expensive-as I live in South Africa.

Yes - I know Joseph Ritson and I have contact with the grandchildren of Mary Peat Garraway (they are in Whitehaven though)
