PostSubject: Boyle family continued   Tue May 18, 2010 5:19 pm

Robert and Patrick Boyle were in the 1861 UK census living as boarders at 59 Middle Row, Whitehaven.
They both were coal miners.
Is there any way of finding out which pit they worked in?
I know that Robert married a locall woman, Isabella Tinnion, but I've not been able to trace Patrick Boyle after the census.
Do any of these names ring any family bells?
Where in the area would I have to write/go to get copies of marriage and birth certificates?
Hoping someone reads this and can help.
Thanks.
Madeleine Stones
