'Allegedly' lop-sided cockatoo at centre of Austrian court case]

STOP THE PRESS: A cockatoo has been made to fly in front of an Austrian judge to try to identify whether it is lopsided in flight and not worth the £10,000 its owner paid for it.

The cockatoo's Danish owner says the bird cannot fly properly because of gout and is demanding his cash back from the Austrian seller through. "When the cockatoo flies around all crooked, it's worthless," the owner said, according to the Austria Press Agency (APA). Can't help but feel that's a tad harsh on the little fella.

The cockatoo took its test flight in a hall in front of the judge and a vet. A report on the bird's health is expected in three to four months. Got to be thorough, eh?

Wonder if the seller has 'taken flight' with the £10,000 as he probably cut its wings
to stop it flying. Also its a Cockatiel not a Cockatoo.

If he can manage to con someone into paying £10K for a Cockatiel which can be bought for £50/£80 he's not doing bad, can't understand how the Vet failed to spot it.

Even if it had been a Cockatoo it should have only been between £1/£2K.
